NVFS aims to empower individuals <strong>and</strong> families to improve their quality of life <strong>and</strong> to<br />
promote community cooperation <strong>and</strong> support in responding to family needs. They require a twosemester<br />
commitment <strong>and</strong> a minimum of 16 hours per week, some evening hours. At least 30<br />
hours of coursework is required prior to beginning of internship. Applicants may inquire about<br />
internships beginning in January of each year; decisions are made by March. <strong>Counseling</strong><br />
emphasizes working with families <strong>and</strong> couples, although individual counseling is also available.<br />
LPC supervision.<br />
