12th … ran season best 5K time at Notre Dame Invitational at 18:46 in
finishing 39th. Placed 24th at Indiana Intercollegiates (18:53) and 30th
at MVC Championship (18:59) … finished 91st at 6K Great Lakes Region
Championship in 22:26 after running 23:27 at the 6K ISU Pre-National
Invitational to finish 155th.
2010 – Placed 41st at Indiana Intercollegiates (19:11) … finished 46th
at MVC Championships (19:22) and 58th at Notre Dame Invitational
(19:07).
2009 – Finished 23rd at Bradley Open with time of 20:08.
Indoor Track & Field –
2011 – Competed in 800 meters, mile, and 3,000 meters … ran personal
best 2:22.35 in 800 meters at EIU Friday Night Special, 5:12.14 in mile
at Grand Valley Big Meet, and 11:08.16 in 3,000 meters at Terre Haute
Double Dual … placed 16th in mile at MVC Indoor Championships
(5:18.60).
2010 – Competed in 3,000 meters … ran personal best 12:00.06 at the
Rose-Hulman Friday Night Special.
2009 – Did not compete.
Outdoor Track & Field –
2011 – Ran a personal best 2:21.49 in 800 meters and 4:44.40 in 1,500
meters.

Before ISU –
Lettered three years in cross country, four years in track & field, and
earned six letters in cheerleading … named All-State Academic Honorable
Mention … was named MVP and Most Improved in both cross country
and track & field … member of record setting 4x400 meter relay team and
4x800 meter relay team.
Cross Country –
2011 – Ran 16:30 at the 4K Evansville Mid-America Opener … had personal
best 5K time of 20:09 in finishing 52nd in the open division of the Notre
Dame Invitational … had personal best 6K time of 25:44 in finishing 235th
at the ISU Pre-National Invitational.
2010 – Finished 15th at Hoosier Invitational (22:46).

Competed in track & field and volleyball all four years at Marshall High

Effort Award, High Point, Team Player, and Record Holder awards … holds
school records in 800, 1600, and 3200 meters along with as a member of
4x800 meter relay team.
Personal –
Serena Grace Simeoli was born on Nov. 20, 1988, in Springfield, Ill., the
daughter of Gary Strohm … majoring in Marketing at Indiana State with
plans to receive a commission as a Marine Corps officer… interests include
outdoors, sports, and family … participates in student government and
SCAMPS at Indiana State … was a Marine deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan
