NOW ENROLLING for PRESCHOOL, KINDER-
GARTEN, DK and 1 st – 8 th Grade for 2011-2012.
Please call the school office for more information or to
schedule a visit. We will be checking snail mail, voicemail
and email on a weekly basis over the summer.
The school office will be closed during the month of
July. We will, however, be checking mail, email, and
voicemail weekly. The office will officially re-open August
8 th . Have a great summer!
Keep feeding the PaperGator over the summer. It earns
OLCEF about $1,000 annually!
The Consolata Guild Picnic will be held Tuesday July
26th at 6 PM at Our Lady of Consolation Family
Center. Please bring a dish to pass and table service for
yourself and a sister. Everyone is invited. Please come
and get to know the Consolata Sisters. Questions-call

Healing Mass held on the first Wednesday of the
month (Aug. 3, Sept. 7, Oct. 5) at 7PM in St. Alphonsus
Church, 224 Carrier St NE, Grand Rapids. All are
welcome who are living with physical, emotional and
spiritual chronic and/or life-threatening illnesses; and
their caregivers, family and friends. Please join us each
month. For more information contact the St. Alphonsus

What: Training sessions for new and current altar servers.
Registration is required. Each session is limited to 20 participants.
To register email tgraves@olcparish.net or contact Tammy at 866-0931 x216.
Who: Youth who have completed 4th grade and would like to begin serving at Mass.
Current altar servers who would like to continue serving at the altar.
(If you attended the training session June 21 you
do not need to attend one of the following sessions.)
When: Wednesday, August 24 10:00 – 11:30 AM
Parents please plan to attend the session from 11:15 – 11:30.
Monday, August 29
6:30 – 8:00 PM
Parents please plan to attend the session from 8:15 – 8:30.
Wednesday, September 14 6:30 – 8:00 PM

Ministry to the Sick and Homebound - Jesus always
showed concern for those who were ill. The concern
that Christ showed for the bodily and spiritual welfare
of those burdened by illness is continued by the Church
in its ministry to the sick.
If you or a loved one is hospitalized or homebound
please contact the parish office. Extraordinary Ministers
of Holy Communion are available to bring prayer,
presence and the Eucharist to those who are
homebound or in long-term facilities.
Low Gluten Host Available - It has been brought to
our attention that a number of children and adults are
unable to receive communion because they have gluten
intolerance and/or wheat allergies. We now have
available a low gluten (0.01%) host that has been
approved by the American Bishops. If you are unable
to receive the normal host, please come to the offertory
table before Mass, and let an usher or server know that
you would like to receive a low gluten host. Then at
Communion time, an Extraordinary Minister of Holy
Communion will stand near the same table and
distribute the Body of Christ to you. If you have any
