Dragflow Submersible Pump and Cutter Features
DRAGFLOW PUMPS are very heavy duty
submersible pumps capable of handling sand
and slurries with up to 5 inch rocks. The slurry
can be piped to its destination eliminating haul
trucks, conveyor belts and other mechanical
earth moving equipment. Using Dragflow pumps
saves labor and maintenance costs.
All you need is water and power. Pumps are
available with electric or hydraulic motors.
With its incorporated agitator the pump will dig
into the material and is capable of handling up
to 70% solids by weight.
Optional water jets and cutter heads (shown in
picture) allow these pumps to disaggregate and
pick up sediments in a slurry of high density and
high specific gravity.

1. HIGH EFFICIENCY AGITATOR
The excavating action is created by the hardened high chrome agitator blades. They create a
current that lifts settled sediments conveying them to the suction of the impeller which delivers
a continuous flow of solids to the pump discharge.
2. LOW OPERATING RPM
Low operating RPM promotes low wear rates and extended component life. When compared to
other pumps of similar capacity Dragflow has a lower operating speed. For example the EL-150
has an amazingly low operating speed of 650 rpm.
3. OVERSIZED MOTORS
All Dragflow electric motors are oversized and are designed for slurries up to 1.6 SG. An
Hydraulic drive version is also available providing higher output. Dragflow hydraulic augers EXHY
can be attached directly to the pump creating a self contained excavating system for hard
compacted sand where a mechanical excavator would otherwise be required.
4. ROBUST CONSTRUCTION
Long life and reliability are guaranteed by robust heavy-duty construction. Extra strong wear
components provide extended life between spare part changes. El-150 weights 3,500 Kg. which
is significantly heavier than comparable 150 HP sand pumps. All parts that are exposed or
subjected to abrasive wear are manufactured in GS 500 or Hi Chrome alloys.

5. THRUST BEARINGS
All Dragflow models have been designed with dual thrust bearings to reduce vibration and
counter thrust loads in both directions.
6. SOLIDS HANDLING CHARACTERISTICS
Dragflow sand pump parts have been specially designed and shaped to provide outstanding
performance, providing superb solids handling capabilities but with reduced wear (and solid size
up to 120 mm).
7. STRUCTURAL CHARACTERISTICS
Adjustable Hi-Chrome suction side Wear Plate maintains maximum performance for extended
periods by a simple adjustment of the gap between the wear plate and the impeller.
Service Bolt: These bolts allow easy pump disassembly, a built in service tool.
Replaceable wear parts: casings, impellers, wear plates all can be replaced independently
Reversible agitator: doubles the life of the agitator
Lube Oil Inspection Ports: A wide-angle port outside the pump ensures easy inspection of shaft
seal oil levels as well as providing easy access for oil replacement.

Umbilical Oil Hoses on Hydraulic Reels, Booster Pump Stations and others, are part of the
diversity of products that complement the highest head submersible slurry pump available in
the industry. These units, capable of working at depths of 300+ feet, in adverse conditions, can
pick up 4.5 inch solids in a 1.6 Specific Gravity Slurry at 70% solids by weight.
