range of missions in the maritime surveillance arena. Mission reliability is the main characteristic of the aircraft. The ATR 72 MP is
perfectly suited to perform any type of medium range, maritime patrol, electronic intelligence and Search And Rescue mission.
These capabilities are achieved by integrating a state-of-the-art, modular mission system fully integrated with a wide array of
sensors, including a search radar with 360° coverage, an electro-optical turret equipped with TV and IR sensors, an ESM system and
a comprehensive tactical communication suite. A complete Self Defence System ensures aircraft survivability in high threat scenarios.
The Italian Navy (with four ATR 72 MP) will be the first customer to benefit from the excellent performance, outstanding comfort
and unparalleled multi-mission capabilities of the ATR 72 MP aircraft.
