SCHEDULE 5 – Approved Materials<br />
The Executive Director, Public Health has examined and approved the following<br />
products (linings, paints, resins etc) <strong>for</strong> potable water applications.<br />
The following table includes products compliant to ‘AS 4020 Testing <strong>of</strong> products <strong>for</strong><br />
use in contact with drinking water’, that have been presented to and noted by the<br />
Department <strong>of</strong> Health.<br />
Any product compliant to AS4020 may be used in contact with drinking water without<br />
application to the Department <strong>of</strong> Health. However, care should be taken to ensure<br />
compliance with all appendices <strong>of</strong> the Standard. (Department <strong>of</strong> Health notification is<br />
recommended).<br />
This list does not include water treatment chemicals (See MoU Schedule 7) or<br />
chemicals and procedures used to maintain water treatment and distribution<br />
systems (see MoU Schedule 8).<br />
