In Collingham Gardens, each resident will be issued 2 sets of linen and will be responsible for<br />
laundering his/her own linens over the course of the year.<br />
Garbage Removal<br />
In Atlantic, Collingham, and Ambassador, garbage is removed daily Monday through Friday if you<br />
leave your bin outside your door by 9am on the day you wish it to be emptied or the night before.<br />
Bathrooms and shower rooms are cleaned daily Monday through Friday, as well as all the<br />
common residential areas. In Courtfield Gardens, residents are expected to take out their own<br />
rubbish to the specified rubbish area near the back of the building. Residents are NOT to leave<br />
rubbish in the corridors.<br />
Vacuums<br />
Borrowing vacuums: students may borrow vacuums from Student Affairs in Atlantic House during<br />
business hours Monday – Friday. Ambassador students can borrow a vacuum from their RD.<br />
Students must leave their student or national ID card with Student Affairs (or RD in Ambassador)<br />
while checking-out the vacuum.<br />
For all questions or housekeeping concerns apart from cleaning requests, contact the Domestic<br />
Bursar, Cheryl Goodyear, on: DomesticBursar@richmond.ac.uk. Cheryl has a large staff of<br />
cleaners who support her.<br />
Certain satellite residences leased by <strong>Richmond</strong> at both campuses employ their own<br />
housekeeping and Maintenance personnel. In the additional building information supplied by the<br />
Resident Directors in these residences, all relevant staff and processes will be introduced.<br />
Maintenance Issues<br />
<strong>Richmond</strong> employs its own maintenance staff who are responsible for the upkeep of its buildings<br />
and any necessary repairs - the department of Property Services. <strong>The</strong>y are:<br />

For all complaints, requests and questions concerning maintenance, please fill out a<br />
Maintenance Request Form which is available via the link on the <strong>Richmond</strong> Homepage at<br />
http://home.richmond.ac.uk/students/Maintenance/default.asp. This is the only way that<br />
maintenance requests will be handled and please be aware that all maintenance requests<br />
are dealt with in a timely fashion if they are sent via the extranet link. For all complaints,<br />
requests and questions concerning maintenance, go to the on-line maintenance request<br />
on the home web page.<br />
