architecture can <strong>no</strong>t be forgotten. And if by chance, you have already spent your holidays in<br />

stops there, as the <strong>Lighthouse</strong> is the name of one of the best Gastro<strong>no</strong>mic restaurants in the<br />

Sign<strong>at</strong>ure, highlight and landmark of the Luxury Hotel <strong><strong>Bar</strong>os</strong> <strong>Maldives</strong>, the <strong>Lighthouse</strong> was<br />
built on the lagoon and stands as a culinary reference by proposing an elabor<strong>at</strong>ed,<br />

<strong>The</strong> <strong>Lighthouse</strong> original idea is the fruit of the very talented Maldivian Architect<br />
Mohamed Shafeeq, whose portfolio includes some of the most beautiful and luxurious<br />
resorts in the Indian Ocean ( Seychelles, Mauritius, Thailand…) and of course in <strong>Maldives</strong><br />
with among <strong>other</strong>s, Anantara Resort, Soneva Gili, Huvafen Fushi, Taj Exotica, Coco Palm<br />
Bodu Hithi…<br />

Shafeeq wished to make the <strong>Lighthouse</strong> as unique and remarkable as it could be. He cre<strong>at</strong>ed<br />
an avant-gardist, very stylish and surprising design and succeeded to give <strong><strong>Bar</strong>os</strong> <strong>Maldives</strong> a<br />
Sign<strong>at</strong>ure of a kind.<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Lighthouse</strong> is indeed unforgettable and eye-striking and perfectly combines the outside<br />
and inside life. <strong>The</strong> pa<strong>no</strong>ramic view on the Atoll is almost <strong>at</strong> 360 degrees through an<br />
ingenious and discret opening system around the pavilion and from the upper floor, allowing<br />
also to maintain an intim<strong>at</strong>e and cosy <strong>at</strong>mosphere. M<strong>at</strong>erial such as coconut wood, teck and<br />
metal were used and mixed by Shafeek to give it a real contemporary Maldivian style.<br />
<strong>The</strong> <strong>Lighthouse</strong> is true to the concept of <strong><strong>Bar</strong>os</strong> <strong>Maldives</strong> : elegant, intim<strong>at</strong>e, unique and<br />
surprising.<br />
