Formal Position: Health, Safety, and Environment Officer<br />

Department: Health Safety and Environment<br />

Reports to: Area <strong>HSE</strong> Supervisor<br />

Director, SHE-Q, Training, and Compliance<br />

Goals<br />

To assist in the design, development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the <strong>HSE</strong> program in accordance<br />

with Mammoet’s Business and Quality standards and policies and procedures; to be a resources to<br />

division/project management and Mammoet employees and to lead by positive example.<br />

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)<br />

• Interact with all departments to identify and monitor training initiatives<br />

• Research and make recommendations on all matters relating to internal incident investigations<br />

processes<br />

• Assists and coaches at all levels with regard to the implementation of Mammoet’s values and core<br />

processes<br />

• Assists and coaches at all levels with regards to the implementation of Mammoet’s <strong>HSE</strong> system<br />

• Coach/mentor fellow employees with the understand of Mammoet’s/client <strong>HSE</strong> requirements<br />

• Coordinate and implement internal/external safety programs: Emergency response, Safety Audits,<br />

T&DP, Orientations<br />

• Conduct incident investigations<br />

Job Qualifications<br />

Education<br />

• Completed High School diploma<br />

• Is in good standing and in possession of a current National Construction Safety Officer Certificate<br />

• Enrolled or have completed courses in the O.H. S certificate program is an asset<br />

Experience<br />

• Minimum 3 years of safety experience<br />

• Basic computer experience


Languages<br />

• Proficient in English; written and spoken<br />

Initiation Period<br />

• Three (3) months<br />

Remuneration<br />

This will be a full-time position operating out of the Fort Mackay Branch Office located North of Fort<br />

McMurray and will be industrial site specific. Public Transportation is not available. Due to the nature of this<br />

position, preference will be given to local applicants. Salary will be commensurate based on education and<br />

experience.<br />
