HSE OFFICER
Formal Position: Health, Safety, and Environment Officer
Department: Health Safety and Environment
Reports to: Area HSE Supervisor
Director, SHE-Q, Training, and Compliance
Goals
To assist in the design, development, delivery, monitoring and evaluation of the HSE program in accordance
with Mammoet’s Business and Quality standards and policies and procedures; to be a resources to
division/project management and Mammoet employees and to lead by positive example.
Responsibilities (including but not limited to)
• Interact with all departments to identify and monitor training initiatives
• Research and make recommendations on all matters relating to internal incident investigations
processes
• Assists and coaches at all levels with regard to the implementation of Mammoet’s values and core
processes
• Assists and coaches at all levels with regards to the implementation of Mammoet’s HSE system
• Coach/mentor fellow employees with the understand of Mammoet’s/client HSE requirements
• Coordinate and implement internal/external safety programs: Emergency response, Safety Audits,
T&DP, Orientations
• Conduct incident investigations
Job Qualifications
Education
• Completed High School diploma
• Is in good standing and in possession of a current National Construction Safety Officer Certificate
• Enrolled or have completed courses in the O.H. S certificate program is an asset
Experience
• Minimum 3 years of safety experience
• Basic computer experience

Languages
• Proficient in English; written and spoken
Initiation Period
• Three (3) months

Remuneration
This will be a full-time position operating out of the Fort Mackay Branch Office located North of Fort
McMurray and will be industrial site specific. Public Transportation is not available. Due to the nature of this
position, preference will be given to local applicants. Salary will be commensurate based on education and
experience.
