members who have attained the<br />

PUNJAB NORTH<br />

Banga : Branch celebrated<br />

the Independance Day at Baba<br />

Gola Govt high School Banga on<br />

15.08.09. Sh Mohan Lal MLA was<br />

the chief guest. Branch distributed<br />

the memento to students who<br />

stood first in 8th and 10 classes<br />

and also distributed the kit bags<br />

to the sports persons and players.<br />

Further distributed 4 sewing<br />

machines to needy women. Also<br />

organised programme on GVCA<br />

at Baba Gola Govt. Ser. Sec.<br />

School Banga on 15.08.09. The<br />

mementos and sanman patras<br />

were given to the seven good<br />

teachers.<br />

Dr. Kitchlu Ludhiana : The<br />

branch celebrated Independence<br />

day on 15-08-09.The programme<br />

was presided over by Sh. Brij<br />

Bhushan Bansal, BVP Distt.<br />

President, who unfurled the flag.<br />

The members and guests present<br />

were told about the uses and<br />

benefits of Tulsi. About 50<br />

saplings of Tulsi were distributed<br />

among the audience.<br />

Jalandhar : In the month of<br />

August 2009 branch distributed<br />

ration to poor families, Tree<br />

plantation, satsang, Sh. krishan<br />

Janamasthmi, scholarships to<br />

poor students, GVCA distribution<br />

of Tulsi plants etc. were also<br />

undertakers. In the month of<br />

September major project was<br />

operation of a labourer Sarvesh<br />

who was given blood.<br />

Gaurav : In the month of<br />

August, 2009 the branch<br />

organised Sanskriti Sapath and<br />

some other programmes. Guru<br />

Vandan Chhatra Abhinandan was<br />

held in four schools. Under aid to<br />

needy programme about Rs.<br />

20000/- were given to poor<br />

students as scholarships. Three<br />

health camps were organised in<br />

different schools and other<br />

places. Apart form the above<br />

family development camp, some<br />

sanskar programmes and tree<br />

plantation programmes were<br />

arranged. In all 250 trees were<br />

Bareta : The festival of Teej<br />

was celebrated in the open<br />

premises of Govt. senior<br />

secondary school, Bareta on<br />

August 7, 2009. Items like<br />

Punjabi folk dance, gidha, Bolian,<br />

Tapa Skits and Mimicry<br />

impressed the audience. Some<br />

Batala : The branch<br />

celebrated Sanskriti Saptah from,<br />

10th July to 15th August 2009 .<br />

In all 16 programmes were<br />

undertaken which included<br />

distribution of breakfast in an old<br />

age home, Guru Vandan Chhatra<br />

Abhinandan, Tree plantation,<br />

Dental check-up camps,<br />

Seminars on moral education etc.<br />

Amritsar Janhit : Sanskriti<br />

Saptah was celebrated from 16th<br />

July to 15th August 2009. In all<br />

15 programme were undertaken<br />

which included Bhajan Sandhya,<br />

Tree plantation, Dental check-up<br />

camps, Guru Vandan Chhatra<br />

Abhinandan. Trees were planted<br />

at different places. The saptah<br />

ended with the celebration of<br />

Independence Day in C.L.H.<br />

Patan : On 10th July branch<br />

celebrated Sthapna day by<br />

plantation of different types of<br />

trees on the premises of Patan<br />

Railway Station. Also distributed<br />

fruits in the civil Hospital to all<br />

patients. Branch organised free<br />

Eye Check up camp in the<br />

Nanavati school on 12.07.09. 500<br />

patients were checked up by eye<br />

Surgen Dr. Nikhil Kumar who<br />

gave them advise as well. 113<br />

spect were given to needy<br />

patients.Thereafter 17 free<br />

cataract operations were done in<br />

cordination with the Bhartiya<br />

Arogaynidhi Patan.<br />

C-Block, Janakpuri : The<br />

branch celebrated Independence<br />

day by participating in a function<br />

in which 80 years and above were<br />

honoured and felicitated. Boys &<br />

Girls who scored high marks in<br />

their 10th and 12th standard<br />

examination were honoured &<br />

rewarded with prizes. On 30.08.09<br />

a purposeful talk on Shrimad<br />

Bhagwat Geeta subject 'Geeta ka<br />

Gyan Karam Yog, Gyan yog and<br />

Bhakti Yog ka Samanvay' was<br />

given by learned speaker Sh. R.K.<br />

Gautam who explained the<br />

various aspects of Gita in very<br />

simple language.<br />

DELHI EAST<br />

Madhu Vihar : On 13th Sept<br />

09 alongwith BVP Muzaffarnagar<br />

Virat branch organised a Shivir<br />

at Muzaffarnagar and fitted<br />

artifitial limbs to about 115<br />

Viklang persons. Prantiya office<br />

bearere East Delhi as well as of<br />

western U.P. were present.<br />

HIMACHAL PRADESH<br />

Dalhousie : Branch<br />

organized an ENT and pediatric<br />

camp for the general public in the<br />

last week of August 2009. Dr. Y.K.<br />

Khanna paed and Dr. Ajay Bhatia<br />

ENT specialist were the visiting<br />

Doctors. Around 160 patients took<br />

the benefit of the camp. The<br />

branch also distributed a packet,<br />

of pens and two notebooks to<br />

every student of Govt. School<br />

Sakrere near Dalhousie.<br />
