President’s Message<br />
Welcome to <strong>Wyena</strong>’s Horse Trials.<br />
The club always enjoys hosting this event and we look<br />
forward to seeing some outstanding competition in all<br />
grades.<br />
I would like to thank everyone who has contributed to<br />
running this event -the Committee and members who<br />
have given up much of their time.<br />

Cross Country Course Walk<br />
The cross country course will be open for walking<br />
from 1pm on Saturday.<br />
The course will also be open for walking from<br />
6am Sunday morning.<br />
Note to all riders & spectators: the <strong>Wyena</strong> XC course is a winding<br />
course – in many places riders can come from several directions –<br />
so please keep a good look out for approaching riders.<br />
It is imperative that while on the course during the competition<br />
phase on Sunday that all pedestrians take care not to interfere<br />
with competitors riding the course.<br />
Pedestrians will be expected to follow all directions given by XC<br />
jump judges and other <strong>Wyena</strong> officials.<br />

Here are a few notices and guidelines we ask you to observe while on<br />
our club grounds:<br />
• This event is run under current PCAV Rules & By-Laws and Bio-<br />
Security Guidelines current at the date of the event. Entering this<br />
competition constitutes acknowledgement and acceptance of these.<br />
• When riding along the driveway at Croydon Road grounds, please<br />
WALK at all times and be respectful to both other riders &<br />
pedestrians. Everyone needs to feel safe in this busy thoroughfare!<br />
• NO DOGS allowed at this event<br />
• Full riding uniform, including helmet, is required when walking the<br />
Show Jumping course.<br />
• PC Competitors must wear the back number supplied by <strong>Wyena</strong> .<br />
OPEN Competitors must supply their own back number holder<br />
• Yards are reserved for competitors staying overnight – please<br />
respect the Reserved signs on yards.<br />
• PLEASE CLEAN YARDS WHEN YOU ARE FINISHED WITH THEM,<br />
INCLUDING HAY.<br />
• New PCAV fall rules are now in place. If a rider falls off their<br />
horse, regardless of where on our grounds, whether in a test phase or<br />
in warm up, they must be checked by our medical coordinator. If it is<br />
deemed the rider hit their head at any stage they may be eliminated<br />
on medical grounds. If the rider is competing on more than one<br />
horse, and they are eliminated on medical grounds, the elimination<br />
will apply to the second horse also.<br />
