In 2007, Gulf Island Fabrication, Inc. launched subsidiary
Gulf Island Marine Fabricators (GIMF), specializing in
the repair and construction of towboats, barges, tugs,
lift boats, supply boats and casino boats. The 437-acre
facility is conveniently located in an industrial friendly
area along the Houma Navigation Canal, which has no
overhead restrictions.
Our capabilities continue to expand with the opening
of the new GIMF dry dock, one of the largest of its kind for shipyards our
size along the Gulf Coast, and a significant investment that demonstrates our
commitment to the marine industry.
