My wife Brooke, daughter Riley, and I would like to welcome you to the inaugural Blue 

Q Ranch production sale to be held Sunday, May 17 th in beautiful and historic Troy, 

NC. When I bought my first Angus cow in 2003, I never dreamed I was going to enjoy 

assembling this herd as much as I have. Of course, my love for Angus cattle had a lot to 

do with that, but more so than that, the relationships I have made with my fellow breeders 

has made this experience truly one of the most enjoyable of my life. I appreciate each and 

every friendship I have made over the last several years and look forward to building those 

relationships in the years to come. 

I believe we have a great offering today from which to choose. Not only has this herd 

been built with an eye on enhancing carcass traits, but also on maternal abilities, fertility, 

soundness, and overall functionality because I believe all of these characteristics affect 

your bottom line. Progeny from some of the greatest cows and cow families ever in the 

Angus breed are represented here today. I am confident that there will be an opportunity for 

everyone to add quality genetics to their program no matter how big or small your operation
