ZABEL ® ATS (Advanced Treatment Systems) provide
options and choices in matching the appropriate

Our patented delivery system, Single Container
Advanced Treatment (SCAT ® ) is now available with
two different fixed film medias.
The SCAT ® AeroCell ® utilizes a patented synthetic
open cell foam media for treatment. The media’s
high porosity, large surface area, and ease of microbial
attachment allows for loading rates of up
to ten times that of other fixed film systems. The
open cell foam media has a 15-year track record
for effectively treating wastewater to the highest of
standards.

The SCAT Bio-COIR TM wastewater treatment system
utilizes a patent-pending coir media for treatment.
Coir is a generic name for the fibers that constitute
the thick mesocarp, or husk, of the coconut fruit.
The high lignin content of these fibers results in a
more durable material that is slow to degrade and
assures that excellent water/air ratio is maintained
over a long period of time. This renewable resource
has been proven to effectively treat wastewater
to secondary levels. Both AeroCell and Bio-COIR
systems meet all NSF International Standard 40
Class 1 requirements.
