Planning for Diocesan Events

A festival of faith and music at Box –
the culmination of Chippenham’s
‘Flame of Hope’ ministry in the villages
of their deanery and of Uganda Fire’s
ministry in the whole Bristol Diocese.
Special Prayer Requests
That the Foreign Office will grant
the choir members their visas
without problems
Safe flights and travel around the
diocese
Provision of music equipment and
reliability
Provision of the balance of the
money needed for the visit
For schools visits
Health for choir members that they
may not contract any illness while
here
For Chippenham Flame of Hope
Celebrations that many people in
the rural areas may be set on fire
with love for Christ
That God will speak through the
choir and guide them in their
preparations
For family members left behind in
Uganda
Uganda Fire Members and
Ministry
The fourteen choir members expected
are all professional young adults from
the Kampala area. They work together
in their ‘spare time’ to prepare for such
tours, which they regard as their
service for the Kingdom of God.
Their leader is Andrew Lumbuye and
the other choir members travelling to
Bristol are:

During their time in the Diocese, they
will be hosted in homes in
Chippenham. Please pray for the right
hosts, good relationships and safety of
transport while they are in the diocese.

Planning for Deanery Events
Bristol South
The choir is taking part in the
Southbank arts trail, and a workshop,
barbecue and concert in Bedminster
Bristol West
Parishes are developing programmes
for visitors from their linked dioceses
and a choir event is pencilled in for
Friday 18 th
City
Is hosting a guest service at Pip and
Jays
Chippenham
A celebration of Christian faith entitled
‘Flame of Hope’ is planned in the
villages of the deanery and the choir
will be contributing at various events
Kingswood & South Gloucestershire
Are hosting two youth events open to
the whole of the Bristol area
North Wiltshire
A Guest service and concert planned
for Malmesbury Abbey and special
ecumenical concert in Cricklade
Swindon
Two outreach events are planned at the
Trinity Centre and at Christ Church
Swindon
