Definition: The action of traveling in or through an unfamiliar area in order to learn about it.<br />
Synonyms: investigation, study, survey, research, inspection, examination, scrutiny,<br />
observation<br />
<strong>Assignment</strong> Objective: Using career assessment tools, students will identify potential career<br />
options based on their interests and skills.<br />
Directions:<br />
1. Access the Education Planner at www.educationplanner.com/students<br />
2. Left side click on <strong>Career</strong> Planning, then click Find <strong>Career</strong>s, and finally click <strong>Career</strong><br />
Cluster Activity<br />
3. Click on START NOW under <strong>Career</strong> Cluster Activity<br />
Complete the online questionnaire sections 1-4 checking each box that represents<br />
your interests (Check as many boxes that apply to you).<br />
You will see your top 5 RESULTS based on your Interest Areas.<br />
To see a list of occupations that match a <strong>Career</strong> Interest Area, select the TITLE of<br />
the area that best fits you.<br />
Scroll down and click on an OCCUPATION in the area that you would like to<br />
research.<br />
4. Answer the questions on the following two pages based on your occupation choice.<br />
5. Print a copy of this completed assignment and in place it in your Culminating Project<br />
