SCHOOL NEWS
Most regular school news is available from our newsletters to parents,
which are issued periodically. These are available for download from our
Download Page on the school website at www.ismoshi.net/Download.htm
SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS
We will be admitting our first full scholarship students in August 2002.
After a rigorous selection process, we have chosen a boy from Ilboru
Secondary School in Arusha, and a girl from Ashira Secondary School in
Marangu. Both have completed Form IV in Tanzanian schools and will be
joining our IB diploma programme in August as boarders. They will
initially join us in June for a two week orientation programme. We wish
them much success.
Thanks to all who have contributed to the scholarship scheme to date. Our
next task for our two new students will be to seek ways to support them in
college after they complete IB. Although the school will not be taking on
financial responsibility for this support, we will be approaching various
colleges, particularly in the US, to see if assistance can be provided. As
both are from a regular Tanzanian family background, neither will have any
personal funds to contribute towards their higher education and the many
costs involved. As a school, we also hope to expand the scholarship scheme
in the future and this will depend on the availability of funds.
We will keep you informed of this scheme through Habari za Shule.
