Minor movements of your rod create life in the lure. Also, the base material floats so lures can be made that actually float for actions not possible w<strong>it</strong>h trad<strong>it</strong>ional plastic. Different degrees of buoyancy can be obtained by using different <strong>com</strong>pounds and different amounts of salt. Some float, some have neutral buoyancy and some sink. This technology results in better actions and greater versatil<strong>it</strong>y than trad<strong>it</strong>ional plastic. Advantages of the floatation: Carolina rigs – actually floats the lure off the bottom (Fig 3*), can use larger hooks and shorter leaders which result in more hook-ups, can fish faster to cover more water and still keep the ba<strong>it</strong> up. Texas rigs – the lures are livelier and will stand up when you pause them (Fig 4*). Shaky Head and Drop Shotting (Fig 1*) – tiny movements resonate in the lure and give added attraction. Jig Trailers – Put a Craw on the back of your jig and see how <strong>it</strong> will stand up your jig like a real crayfish!! Topwater action - w<strong>it</strong>h the ZULU for example, you can have a true topwater softba<strong>it</strong> unlike anything else on the market. Sinking models - those made to sink, like the ZERO, have better action than plastic due to the flexibil<strong>it</strong>y. Even though the material is incredibly soft and flexible <strong>it</strong> is unbelievably strong. It has unprecedented durabil<strong>it</strong>y over regular plastic lures. Hence, you will catch more fish per lure. No more broken tails from Bream b<strong>it</strong>es or reduced time re-rigging due to torn up ba<strong>it</strong>s! In saltwater fishing, nothing even <strong>com</strong>pares - they are absolutely the best soft ba<strong>it</strong>s on the market for saltwater fishing. Note that as the percentage of salt is increased the material is not as strong but even models w<strong>it</strong>h the most salt are still much stronger than plastic ba<strong>it</strong>s. Your hook point and barb will go through the material easily. They cut through <strong>it</strong> but <strong>it</strong> doesn’t rip up like plastic. It may take a l<strong>it</strong>tle practice to rig the ba<strong>it</strong> straight on your hook. If you mess up and want to try again don’t worry, you won’t hurt <strong>it</strong> by rigging <strong>it</strong> multiple times. In summary, these are revolutionary soft ba<strong>it</strong>s due to; the extra action, softness, flexibil<strong>it</strong>y, durabil<strong>it</strong>y, and the specifically formulated floatation characteristics of each model. When fish grab a ba<strong>it</strong> made out of this material, they really hold on. The result is that you will catch more fish! CAUTION: Do not mix w<strong>it</strong>h or store these in the same bag w<strong>it</strong>h regular soft plastic ba<strong>it</strong>s because the two materials will dissolve when stored together. It is best not to store in direct sunlight. Also, some dyes on the market may negatively affect <strong>it</strong> (weaken <strong>it</strong>).
