2.6.5 RFID and privacy
Discussions are for the time being ongoing on the subject of RFID and privacy. This is
outside the scope of this data model. The working group can however endorse the statement
made by ALA - The American Library Association. At the same time the working group
acknowledges the existence of data protection agencies in most countries. Any library and any
supplier will have to comply with guidelines set up by such agencies.
