Shoppe Camp (Grades 1-3)<br />

Love to bake or want to learn Students will learn<br />

to accurately measure, mix, bake and decorate a<br />

delicious assortment of bake-shoppe specialties.<br />

Your team may win the “Cupcake Wars”! Take home<br />

your favorite treat and celebrate the summer with<br />

delicious recipes. A “scrumptious” way to spend<br />

part of your day!<br />

Biz-Art for Kids (Grades 4-6)<br />

Kids tackle the art of business with hands-on<br />

activities, games and experiential learning of basic<br />

concepts including money, entrepreneurship and<br />

business. At week’s end, campers will showcase<br />

their business concepts in an artful way!<br />

This camp is conducted with the cooperation<br />

and support of the <strong>Woodbridge</strong> FFA Chapter.<br />

Campers will engage in a variety of hands-on<br />

activities related to Animal Science, Plant Science,<br />

Food Science and Biotechnology. Explore the<br />

growing Agriculture “field” and its endless career<br />

opportunities.<br />

Students will explore making “cents” of numbers<br />

around them, becoming familiar with calculating<br />

money, elapsed time, mapping features, calendars,<br />

measurement and calculators during fun,<br />

interactive activities.<br />

Every day filled with hands-on experiments<br />

American Girl–Just Like Me (Grades 1-3)<br />

Do you love to learn and be creative Let’s take<br />

a look at how American Girl chooses each girl of<br />

the year and what makes them unique. You will<br />

investigate who you are and what makes you<br />

special during this week-long camp and celebrate<br />

your discoveries with an end of the week tea party.<br />

Musical Theatre Camp (Grades 4-6)<br />

Children will be encouraged to participate<br />

in solo, duet, trio, small group and ensemble<br />

production pieces. Instructor will provide some<br />

props and students will be given hand out sheets<br />

of lyrics and study guide materials. Students<br />

will also learn production staging, blocking and<br />

stage transitional movements and learn a more<br />

comprehensive cohesion of producing a final<br />

performance. We will create some sets, stage<br />

props and accessories from their own resources.<br />

Social Skills Training: Creating Well-<br />

Rounded Youth (Grades 7-9)<br />

This camp focuses on developing social,<br />

emotional and problem-solving skills through<br />

group training, team building, decision making,<br />

problem solving, anger management and<br />

recreational and academic-related role play<br />

lessons and activities. Open discussions will<br />

expose participants to real world issues and<br />

situations, so that they may build personal and<br />

individual connections between themselves<br />

and others, as well as within the community and<br />

society as a whole.<br />

Children will have fun with engaging,<br />

digital photography, art and music. They will<br />

learn through playing educational games and<br />

collaborating on multimedia projects. iPads will<br />

be provided.<br />

(Grades 4-6)<br />

Do you like video games Have you ever wanted<br />

Learn how to make your first video game in this<br />

camp for kids. Kids will be designing games on par<br />

with Nintendo and Super Nintendo! Please bring<br />

your own flash drive.<br />

Tech Savvy in the Real World<br />

(Grades 7-9)<br />

Learn how to utilize computer applications and<br />

online systems to e-communicate in college<br />

life and in business. Practice using the college<br />

software “Blackboard” and get a step ahead of the<br />

competition. Navigate the online world to build<br />

confidence in your computer repertoire.<br />

Helpful Information<br />

Transportation<br />

Transportation will be made available from predetermined<br />

centralized stops for participating<br />

students. Transportation from the students’ place<br />

of residence to the centralized bus stop will be the<br />

responsibility of the parent/guardian. Students’<br />

will be provided centralized bus stop locations and<br />

pick-up time schedule prior to the start of Summer<br />

Camp.<br />

Age Appropriateness<br />

Camps are designed for students entering the<br />

grades listed. Courses are designed to be age<br />

appropriate and coincide with all socialization<br />

aspects of the program.<br />

Sunscreen<br />

Campers registering for Sport camps will be<br />

outside. To be prepared for the sun, apply<br />

sunscreen every morning before coming to camp.<br />

Cancellations/Refunds<br />

Refund and/or transfer requests must be made<br />

prior to the Wednesday before camp. Please note<br />

that refunds for payments made by check may<br />

take a minimum of four weeks to process.<br />

Clothing<br />

Students should dress appropriately for the<br />

camp that they will attend. Class descriptions will<br />

provide the necessary requirements.<br />

Electronic Devices<br />

Campers should NOT bring electronic devices.<br />

Delaware Tech or <strong>Woodbridge</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>District</strong> will<br />

not be responsible for any lost, broken or stolen<br />

property. Please do not bring a cell phone.<br />

Emergency Procedures<br />

<strong>Woodbridge</strong> will follow the same emergency<br />

procedures as during the <strong>School</strong> Year. Please have<br />

campers follow the instructions of their teacher.<br />

Check-In/Check-Out Policy<br />

Parents/Guardians must sign their children in<br />

and out each day and provide us with their most<br />

current emergency contact number. If not a parent/<br />

guardian, parents must provide the name of the<br />

person checking the child in/out. Identification will<br />

be required. It is the responsibility of the parent to<br />

be on time to pick up your child. If you are more<br />

than 15 minutes late for pickup, there will be a $10<br />

late charge added to your account.<br />

Medical Procedures<br />

Each camper is required to have personal medical<br />

coverage and accident insurance. Delaware<br />

Tech or <strong>Woodbridge</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>District</strong> does not<br />

provide this coverage. Parents will be informed<br />

immediately in the event of an emergency.<br />

The parent will be responsible for picking up<br />

the camper and determining if further medical<br />

attention is necessary. In case of an emergency<br />

requiring immediate medical attention, camp staff<br />

is required to: make the child comfortable, call for<br />

an ambulance, and notify the parent and camp<br />

manager who will accompany child to hospital.<br />

Problem Management Procedures<br />

Discipline problems will be addressed in the<br />

following manner: Behavioral problems will be<br />

handled by the camp manager. If the problem<br />

persists, the parent will be notified. If the problem<br />

continues to exist, the camper will be dismissed<br />

from camp and will not be permitted to return.<br />

Refunds will not be granted if campers are<br />

dismissed from camp. Automatic dismissal from<br />

camp may occur at the camp manager’s discretion.<br />
