The R.C. Patel Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (RCPIPER), Shirpur
commenced its journey in 1992 as a pharmacy course recognized by North Maharashtra
University, Jalgaon. In the year 2002 onwards the institute has grown phenomenally,
venturing into various post graduates courses in pharmacy and also Ph.D. research
center. Our goal at the pharmacy institute is to groom the budding pharmacists to
cater the need of Pharma Industries. We strongly believe that in the
socioeconomic dynamics and healthcare systems of our country, the
institute has to play special role in enhancing the employability of
young pharmacist and helping the pharma industries to acquire a

The department works with objective to provide basic and applied knowledge of
pharmaceutical chemistry to its students. Established in the year 2002, actively
involved in teaching and high quality research work. The Central Instrument
Facility (CIF) equipped with sophisticated instruments used in analysis of
drugs. Our “Drug Design Laboratory” is involved in discovering new
chemical entities. More than 100 students have successfully completed
post graduate program and well placed in industry and academia.

The Department of Pharmacognosy is headed by Dr. S. J. Surana. The
Department is fully dedicated to provide excellence in education and research
through natural product chemistry by exploring the local natural resources as
remedies for management of endemic diseases. The department has collected
and cultivated more than 200 rare plants species. Till date more than 50
students Have completed M.Pharm and pursuing their career in
Pharmaceutical industries and institutes.

Pharmacology department has flourished as a centre of excellence in the

The Department of Pharmaceutics was established in 2005 to strengthen the
research and training in the area of Pharmaceutical Technology. This department
has completed more than 10 major and minor projects funded by AICTE, AYUSH
and DST costing around 42 Lac. The department is well equipped costing
around 150 Lacs and more than 300 Post graduate students have availed
these facilities.

The objective of quality assurance department is to train the pharmacy graduates
in quality assurance to cater the ever-increasing need of pharmaceutical
industry and academia. Department of Quality Assurance has grown as centre for
providing postgraduate training in various activities of quality assurance
including , approval or rejection of active pharmaceutical ingredients, and
drug products, investigation and decision making with regard to
deviations of production processes and quality-related complaints,
performance of internal and external audits, assurance of
compliance with the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
requirements, management of personnel training data
according to the GMP requirements.

The Clinical Pharmacy department established in the year 2006 to train the
postgraduate students in patient care and clinical research. The department has
access to paid online databases and well equipped clinical research laboratory.
The department works in collaboration with Indira Gandhi Memorial & Cottage
hospitals. The department also signed MOU with Government Civil
Hospital, Dhule to accommodate PG scholars for research work.

ELIGIBILITY
B.Pharm:
Candidate should passed the HSC (Std.XII) examination of Maharashtra State Board or its equivalent examination with
subjects PCM/PCB and secured minimum 45% i.e. not less than 135 out of 300 marks (40% for reservation) and obtained
a non zero score in the subject of PCM/PCB added together at CET
Admission to Direct S.Y. B.Pharm.:
Admission shall be made as per rules prescribed from DTE for eligibility from time to time.
MPM (Master of Pharmacy Management) :
An Integrated course equivalent to MBA; Second year student from B.Pharm course is eligible to get admission.
Admission process will be carried out as per schedule declared by the DTE, Mumbai from time to time.

CAPITATION FEES
As per All India Council for Technical Education in exercise in power of conferred under the clause (n) of section 10 of AICTE act 1987 (52 of
1987), our college do not accept the Capitation Fees under any circumstances during admission process.
RAGGING CIRCULAR
Action against ragging shall be taken as per Maharashtra Prohibition of Ragging act 1999.
*Ragging inside or outside the campus of educational institute is prohibited.
*whoever directly or indirectly commits, participate, abets, propagates ragging within or outside camus shall on conviction be punished with
imprisionment for the term unto 2 years and/ or penalty which may extend to ten thousand rupees.
* Any student convicted of an offense of ragging shall be dismissed from institute and such student shall not be admitted in any other educational
institute for the period of five years from the date of order of such dismissal.

supplement theoretical knowledge with practical skills. Each laboratory is operational with high quality chemicals, instruments, equipments and
glassware. All laboratories have been formed as per the norms of government regulatory agencies.
CLASS ROOM & SEMINAR HALL
The spacious lecture hall and e-class room are well operational with advanced teaching aids
like LCD projector, Video conferencing, Virtual learning Center etc. The Institution also
features the finest computing facility. Interactive learning approach is employed in classroom

Girls hostels with capacity of 500 each. The hostels are connected to surrounding world through wi-fi. The hostel
mess caters nutritious and delicious food at very reasonable rates. The basic recreation and sports facilities (table
tennis, carrom, cricket, and gymnasium), TV room etc are made available to the students which provides homely
atmosphere. Solar water heater provides hot water throughout the year and RO water has been installed for supply

Computer centre occupying an area of 150 sq.m. serve as a central internet
facility for all students. The state of the art computer laboratory is committed to
provide un-interrupted internet facility is achieved via 15 mbps Reliance and 20

The institute gives top priority to research and development activities. The
faculty members are encouraged to get involved in research. They are given the
infrastructural support in the form of books, journals, laboratories and
computational facilities for research. A number of projects have been
initiated for research and development as well as modernization of
laboratories with financial assistance from All Indian Council for
Technical Education (AICTE , Department of Science and
Technology(DST) , University Grant Commission (UGC), North
Maharashtra University ( NMU, Jalgaon). The main purpose of
these initiatives is to enhance the depth of knowledge of

The institute motivates students to participate in extra-curricular activities for

When it comes to event management, students have displayed professional

The Training and Placement cell of institute is actively involved in industrial
training, project work and placement of students. The objective of T&P cell is to
bridging the gap between pharma industry and academic institute for better
development of pharma students and makes them employable. The core
function of cell is to make contacts with HR departments of multinational
pharmaceutical companies and resumes forwarded for suitable job
position.
Cell regularly arrange Group discussion, Pre-campus placement
training and aptitude test for pharmacy student to have better
prospect and career growth. It also organizes the visit to

The institute is sincerely promoting sports activities through organizing various
competitions at university level. Institute has appointed expert coach cum
physical trainer for students to train them in various outdoor games like Cricket,
Football, Badminton and volleyball. State-level Pharma cup for cricket
organize regularly in sprawling campus of our institute. Most of the
students are selected at state and national levels in different sport
categories like athletic, long jump etc.
