Communications –<br />
Point to Point Kiss Off<br />
(Not store and forward) The Guardcell uses<br />
both the Voice bearer and SMS infrastructure<br />
of the <strong>GSM</strong> network to communicate to the<br />
Central Monitoring Station. Inbuilt Speed<br />
dialling ensures reliable connection to the<br />
Central Monitoring Station over the <strong>GSM</strong><br />
network. Once the connection has been<br />
made to the Central Monitoring Station, the<br />
Guardcell then connects the alarm dialler<br />
to the Central Monitoring Station receiver,<br />
which results in a point to point alarm<br />
message being delivered.<br />
The Guardcell therefore provides true point<br />
to point communications unlike some other<br />
wireless transmission systems on the market<br />
that use the store and forward method. The<br />
Guardcell also incorporates the secure<br />
encrypted PDU mode of SMS transmission,<br />
which means a standard Mobile phone<br />
can<strong>not</strong> communicate with the Guardcell<br />
and therefore interfere with critical alarm<br />
communications.<br />

The Guardcell has the smarts inbuilt to<br />
communicate system faults and alarms in<br />
Contact ID to the Central Monitoring Station,<br />
even when the alarm dialler has been<br />
disconnected or tampered with.<br />

Dedicated Central Station Receiver<br />
The Guardcell receiver is installed in most<br />
Central Monitoring Stations throughout<br />
Australia and New Zealand. The Guardcell<br />
receiver allows a critical 3rd path of<br />
communications from the Guardcell to the<br />
Central Monitoring Station. Point to Point<br />
Polling and system alarms are just some of<br />
the enhanced features when reporting back<br />
to the Guardcell receiver.<br />

Digital Backup System<br />
SCSI’s Guardcell is a complete <strong>GSM</strong> Digital<br />
backup or primary communication system<br />
that detects phone line sabotage and<br />
provides a means of alarm transmission in<br />
the event of PSTN phone line failure. When<br />
the regular phone line fails and an alarm<br />
event occurs, Guardcell transmits the<br />
signal through high security transmission<br />
over the <strong>GSM</strong> Digital wireless networks to<br />
the central monitoring station. Guardcell<br />
is designed to be quick and easy to install.<br />
The unit is completely self contained in its<br />
own metal enclosure with power supply and<br />
backup battery.<br />
This all-in-one solution ensures easy<br />
installation of the Guardcell without being<br />
restricted to the alarm control panel location.<br />
Since Guardcell is designed to connect up<br />
to any standard alarm control panel, the<br />
product is perfect for any installation.<br />
