communications path or as a backup

used where no PSTN telephone

increasing unavailability of special
“dedicated” or supervised landlines

Reliable Secure GSM
Communications –
Point to Point Kiss Off
(Not store and forward) The Guardcell uses
both the Voice bearer and SMS infrastructure
of the GSM network to communicate to the
Central Monitoring Station. Inbuilt Speed
dialling ensures reliable connection to the
Central Monitoring Station over the GSM
network. Once the connection has been
made to the Central Monitoring Station, the
Guardcell then connects the alarm dialler
to the Central Monitoring Station receiver,
which results in a point to point alarm
message being delivered.
The Guardcell therefore provides true point
to point communications unlike some other
wireless transmission systems on the market
that use the store and forward method. The
Guardcell also incorporates the secure
encrypted PDU mode of SMS transmission,
which means a standard Mobile phone
cannot communicate with the Guardcell
and therefore interfere with critical alarm
communications.
Doesn’t need The Alarm Dialler
to Report
The Guardcell has the smarts inbuilt to
communicate system faults and alarms in
Contact ID to the Central Monitoring Station,
even when the alarm dialler has been
disconnected or tampered with.

installation and has proved invaluable to

Dedicated Central Station Receiver
The Guardcell receiver is installed in most
Central Monitoring Stations throughout
Australia and New Zealand. The Guardcell
receiver allows a critical 3rd path of
communications from the Guardcell to the
Central Monitoring Station. Point to Point
Polling and system alarms are just some of
the enhanced features when reporting back
to the Guardcell receiver.
Guardcell Tri-Path GSM
Digital Backup System
SCSI’s Guardcell is a complete GSM Digital
backup or primary communication system
that detects phone line sabotage and
provides a means of alarm transmission in
the event of PSTN phone line failure. When
the regular phone line fails and an alarm
event occurs, Guardcell transmits the
signal through high security transmission
over the GSM Digital wireless networks to
the central monitoring station. Guardcell
is designed to be quick and easy to install.
The unit is completely self contained in its
own metal enclosure with power supply and
backup battery.
This all-in-one solution ensures easy
installation of the Guardcell without being
restricted to the alarm control panel location.
Since Guardcell is designed to connect up
to any standard alarm control panel, the
product is perfect for any installation.
