Award-winning photographer Marcel Lämmerhirt was the first
photographer to ever lay his hands on the Pro-B4. Marcel, who loves to
shoot fast and extreme sports, was especially impressed by its speed and
action-freezing capability. He decided to use these unique features to take a
sequence shot of the world champion in wakeboarding, Dominik Gührs.
“Sequence shots are amazing for jobs like this,” says Marcel. “But it’s
probably just as useful if you’re in the studio. For instance, if you’re a
fashion photographer and the model’s hair or robe is flying around or you’re
working with powder or something like that – a sequence shot would be just
perfect. In that case you may even connect the Pro-B4 to a mains outlet and
shoot continuously for days!”
Doing a sequence shot means that Marcel does not have to meticulously
time his shots. Neither does he have to ask Dominik to do the same jump
over and over again. Instead he can just shoot a sequence and then select
that perfect shot.

studio it gets even better. The battery can
fully recharge in only 45 minutes and can be
recharged while in use.

Pro Plus heads
The Pro-B4 is compatible with all Pro heads. Each Pro head is
optimized for certain applications and optically designed to create
a distinct yet highly adaptable light. All heads are small, robust and
compatible with the entire range of Profoto Light Shaping Tools. Now,
the classic Pro heads have been upgraded to take full advantage of the
groundbreaking potential of the Pro-B4. These are the Pro Plus heads:
ProHead Plus
The smallest head with a comparable
light output on the market, yet capable
of producing flashes up 4800 Ws,
over and over again, hour after hour.
A thermostatically controlled 2-speed
fan provides efficient cooling.
Pro-B Head Plus
Basically the same as the ProHead Plus but
without the fan. This makes it even smaller
and more lightweight. Hence, perfect for
on-location shoots and situations where
you need to keep moving.
ProRing Plus/ProRing 2 Plus
Profoto ring flashes create a direct
and prominent light without harshness.
ProRing Plus is smaller and more
lightweight, while ProRing 2 Plus comes
with a built-in fan and a powerful
200 W modeling light.
