Welcome!
‘Tis the season! December is upon us and that means it’s time to celebrate the
holidays! At Learn360, we have over 500 holiday-themed video clips that can
help you share each holiday’s history and traditions with your students:
Hanukkah: December 2 to 9 (2010)
Light a candle on that Menorah! It’s time to celebrate the Festival
of Lights. This is an eight-day Jewish Holiday commemorating the
re-dedication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. Traditions include
children’s games like spinning the dreidel, blessing the candles
and exchanging gifts. Click here, and find two pages of content that create
an engaging lesson on the Festival of Lights (or search for “Hanukkah” on our
site)!
Christmas: December 25
It’s the hap-happiest time of year! Christmas may only be one day, but the
Christmas season is felt throughout the month of December. Aside from
its origin being based on Jesus’ birthday, Christmas day
brings family and friends together to enjoy company, festive
decorations, bright lights, cookies, gift giving and Santa Claus
climbing down the chimney. Get all the history of this special
day by clicking here (or search for “Christmas” on our site) and
find 15 pages of content!
Kwanzaa: December 26 to January 1
Kwanzaa originated as a holiday to honor universal African heritage and
culture. This week-long celebration features activities such as candle-lighting,
feasts and gift giving. It was first celebrated in 1966 and
is based on the seven principles of African philosophy:
unity, self-determination, responsibility, cooperative
economics, purpose, creativity and faith. Learn about
this week long celebration by clicking here (or search for
“Kwanzaa” on our site) and find 2 pages of content!

Learn360 Gives Back
Big Apple Circus partnered with Paul Newman’s The Hole In The Wall Gang
Camp to bring their spectacular show to an inspiring group of chronically and
terminally ill children and we were there to help!
Big Apple Circus’ New York City performance
took place on October 30 and 1,200 of the
1,700 seats were donated to the campers and
children from local hospitals. Through generous
donations and volunteered help, the children
were able to enjoy the event and receive gift
bags and prizes.
Our employees and their families attended
the fundraiser and volunteered time prior to
the event to help make it a success! Learn360
also donated money and placed a message
of support in the Big Apple Circus special
performance brochure. Through advertising such
as ours in the Playbill, The Hole In The Wall
Gang Camp and Big Apple Circus were able to
raise $700,000 for The Hole In The Wall Gang Camp.
Notable News
Crunching numbers has never been this fun! We’re bulking
up our mathematical content with the addition of Math Park,
a new series of videos, from Lucky Cat Productions, that
subtract the frustration and multiply the interaction.
Math Park clips focus on the concepts surrounding elementary-level students’
curriculum. Based on core standards, each video helps teach students to be
active learners. By reviewing and enhancing important math skills, Math Park
turns a subject that is typically pencil to paper into an interactive environment.
Click here to access the Math Park video content on our site and find out how
you can use it!
