This lovely afghan is made in four panels. Each
and surrounded with a seed stitch border.
Our super bulky yarn makes a soft, cozy and warm
fabric to cuddle up with during the winter months.

Borders
(Note: The longer side is the horizontal side
and the shorter side is the vertical side)
Horizontal
Pick up stitches in the horizontal direction:
Pick up about 109 st(s) for the first horizontal
border (you may end up with more or less, but
it must be an odd amount).
Using seed stitch, k1, p1 across every row for
14 rows, then bind off in pattern. The border
should measure approx. 4 inches.
Repeat the directions for the second horizontal
border picking up the same amount of
stitches.
Vertical
Next pick up stitches in the vertical direction:
Pick up about 89 st(s) for the first vertical border
(you may end up with more or less, but it
must be an odd amount).
Sewing the Panels Together:
Using mattress stitch, sew the panels together
in whatever order you prefer.
Using seed stich, k1, p1 across every row for
14 rows, then bind off in pattern. The border
should measure approx. 4 inches.
Repeat the directions for the second vertical
border picking up the same amount of stitches.
Sew in all loose strands.
