The Sami<br />

The Sami are one of the world’s <strong>in</strong>digenous<br />

peoples, around 70 000 Sami are spread out<br />

<strong>in</strong> four countries: Russia, F<strong>in</strong>land, Norway<br />

and <strong>Sweden</strong>. This large land area is called<br />

Sápmi.<br />
