Workshop B
Standardization (WP7)
How to align all European
Standardization Activities in eMobility
The achievements of the Green eMotion
project towards the harmonization of
standards in eMobility. Raised issues and
needs as well as the initiatives undertaken to
tackle them will be presented. Through the
contribution of other important initiatives at
European level the workshop aims at finding
consensus on the priorities to be followed, in
order to make progress towards a common
Pan-European vision and strategy in
eMobility standardization.

Coordination by Volker Fricke with
presenters from various development
partners.
Session A1 will explain which
elements are necessary to build and
run a GeM Marketplace for B2B
business partners. It is a non- technical
explanation of building blocks in order
to get an understanding on how to
cover functional and non-functional
requirements.
Session A2 will show how the
Marketplace interface looks like from
an administrator’s point of view. We
explain, step by step, how an EV service
could be found, how a potential
business partner can get information
about the EV service interfaces, and last
but not least how a subscriber can get
connected to the Marketplace
Session A3 will provide an overview of
how developers for B2B EV Services
are able to develop, deploy and offer
business services using the GeM
Marketplace. Green eMotion partners
(SAP, Siemens and Enel) together with
IBM will provide an overview about it.
How did they develop and deploy
business services in the first release for
European-wide demonstration. This
session will also explain how the
offered EV Services are consumed,
tested and integrated by the European
demo regions (e.g. RWE, ESB) within
Green eMotion project.
AGENDA DAY 2 - WEDNESDAY 28 th NOVEMBER 2012
8:30 REGISTRATION & WELCOME COFFEE
PLENARY SESSION 1
Moderator: Carlo Mol
How the development of a European “Eco System” for electric mobility can
accelerate the market ramp up – the OEM view
Holger Braess, M&A, Cooperation Management, Economics, Mobility and Environment,
BMW Group.
Synopsis: Europe is preparing for the mass market introduction of electric vehicles.
Major manufacturers (OEMs) have already or will bring serial vehicles into the market
by the end of 2013. Customers expect a fully usable electric vehicle for urban and
regional use, hence requiring easy and interoperable charging at public spaces and
along major roads (fast charging). Many national and regional initiatives have started
providing local solutions, however a full European approach is needed. Here the EU
funded project Green eMotion provides answers, linking innovative infrastructure
solutions and business models of the different E-mobility service providers on a
European Business-to-Business ICT market place.
9:00-10:20
Insuring the Electric Evolution: Insurance and the EV Marketplace
Monique Hesseling, Head of Personal Lines, Zurich General Insurance Marketing.
Synopsis: Overview of the role the insurance instrument can play in encouraging the
switch to electric vehicles. In-depth analysis of the advantages and risks associated with
electric vehicles from an insurance perspective. The final part will provide a description
of Zurich's global electric vehicle insurance initiative.

powerIN eVMotion - Distribution Network Operator’s Perspective on EVs
Liam O'Sullivan, Director Low Carbon London Programme, UK Power Network.
Synopsis: Distribution network operators are a fundamental part of the low carbon
transition. To enable and not be a hinder, we need to better understand the impacts of
electric vehicle charging to our networks and operations as the uptake of these new and
existing modes of transport become even more wide spread. To do that we need to get
involved and be involved: by doing, in action and demonstration to make this a reality
for our citizens.
How renewable intermittency and grid imbalance can benefit from smart EV
charging - CNR Move-in-Pure
Arnaud Cuisson, Move i n Pure Project Manager CNR.
Synopsis: Compagnie Nationale du Rhone (CNR) is the second largest electricity
producer in France relying on a mix of renewable energy resources. Move in Pure ® is
CNR’s smart recharging concept for Electric Vehicles (EV) which is designed to operate
through electricity roaming Thanks to remote management of EV battery recharging; it
eases renewable energy intermittency integration, whilst providing EV-users clearly
traceable 100% renewable electricity at attractive flexibility-based tariffs.
10:20-10:50 COFFEE & NETWORKING
PLENARY SESSION 2 & CLOSING
