Am weitesten fortgeschritten sind die Anwendungen in den USA:<br />
1998: In an effort to reduce proliferation of many different software-based<br />
radio architectures, the DOD established the JTRS Joint Program Office<br />
to develop a single architecture for future radio systems.<br />
1999: Three industrial consortia presented their concept for the JTRS<br />
architecture to the DOD.<br />
1999: The DOD selected the concept proposed by Raytheon’s consortium<br />
as the basis for the JTRS software architecture, and awarded this<br />
consortium a contract for continued development.<br />
Major members of the consortium:<br />
– Raytheon<br />
– Rockwell - Collins<br />
– BAE Systems<br />
– ITT Industries<br />
