Furniture hinges reached a high level of quality: 

they last longer than the furniture itself, they open and close with precision, 

They are even damped to prevent doors from slamming. 

But s ll, they look like ‘machines’ inside a well-finished cabinet. 

Samet So Cover is a furniture hinge covered with flexible silicone. 

Finally, the surface of a hinge is smooth and all mechanisms are hidden. 

It is realized in flexible thermoplas c elastomeric to cover the hinge in a 

way that completely hides its mechanical parts. 

The cover is realized in a combina on of flexible and rigid materials 

that allows it to fit and snap over the metallic hinge while maintaining 

flexibility in the area that will change shape during the movement when 

the door is closed and opened. 

The single part is manufactured with a double-injec on plas c over-moulding. 

Designed by Defne Koz and Marco Susani, 

Samet So Cover won the Interior Innova on Award in 2013 

and exhibited during the 2013 IMM Fair in Cologne, Germany
