1. Events<br />

b. May be excluded from the event by the Event Chairman.<br />

c. May be removed from the grounds by the Event Chairman or Chief<br />

Steward.<br />

d. May be penalized as provided in Section 9.<br />

As a condition of continued participation, the participant may be required<br />

to submit to such testing procedures as may be established<br />

by <strong>SCCA</strong>® in its sole discretion. Failure or refusal to submit to such<br />

testing shall be deemed a violation of the above prohibitions. Hoever,<br />

<strong>SCCA</strong>® assumes no obligation or duty to establish such testing procedures<br />

and/or to test participants on a random basis or in a specific<br />

case.<br />

L. Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Any driver who drives unsafely at/near the<br />

event location or displays unsportsmanlike conduct shall be disqualified.<br />

M. Pressurized gas and air bottles with a pressure in excess of 200 psi<br />

(1380 kPa) must have a protective structure around the gauge and<br />

valve assembly.<br />

N. It is strongly recommended for emergency purposes, a public telephone<br />

or a cellular telephone be available at the event site or at a known nearby<br />

location.<br />

O. Children under twelve (12) years of age and pets shall be prohibited in<br />

the staging, grid, start, finish, and course areas. Drivers from five (5) to<br />

twelve (12) years of age who are participating in an approved Junior<br />

Driver program under the requirements of Section 19.2 are exempt<br />

from this prohibition during their run group. Otherwise, they also are<br />

prohibited from these areas. Furthermore, staging, grid, start, finish,<br />

and course workers should be at least sixteen (16) years of age. Drivers<br />

from eight (8) to sixteen (16) years of age should be assigned to other<br />

worker duties as outlined in Appendix H.II.B.4.<br />

P. Smoking is not permitted in grid or staging areas.<br />

Q. Cars may not be off the ground, in gear, while running for tire shaving,<br />

tire cleaning, or other reasons. Exception: Vehicles which have snowmobile-derived<br />

drivetrains, such as Formula 500/440, may be started<br />

with the rear wheels off the ground. If a car with a snowmobile-derived<br />

train is started with the rear wheels on the ground, a driver must be on<br />

board. Note: Karts may be serviced or have the engine running while<br />

on a kart stand without a driver on board.<br />

R. In any areas of the event site designated for refueling of vehicles, there<br />

will be at least one (1) 10 lb. minimum Class B fire extinguisher to be<br />

available in the event of a fire during refueling.<br />

S. Course workers must be standing at all times when any competition<br />

cars are on-course during the event.<br />

T. Cell phones and video or still cameras are not permitted at course<br />

worker positions or other locations within the course area. Exceptions<br />

may be granted for media relations purposes by the <strong>Solo</strong>® Safety Stew-<br />
