RETRO Flashers
LED Replacement Light Source
Tideland Signal has engineered a series of light
flashers that allow for an easy upgrade to LED
technology without having to replace lantern
housings. RETRO flashers are available with AC
or DC circuitry and are compatible with most
other standard marine lanterns, range lanterns
and rotating beacons.
DUAL-RETRO is a dual, high intensity LED
light source for use in either Fresnel drum
lenses or mirrored pencil beam optics.
MLED-RETRO AC and DC flashers utilise
a high intensity, single LED source. MLED-RETRO
AC is especially useful for bridge light applications.
RETROS are engineered for use in most
Tideland marine signal lanterns, range lanterns
and rotating beacons.
FEATURES:
• SINGLE LED SOURCE (RETRO AC/DC) – Provides
high electro-optical efficiency and is impervious to
shock and vibration. Low operating temperature
design guards against degrading lumen output.
• FAILURE RELAY (RETRO AC) – Provides a means of
reporting loss of LED current to a remote user alarm.
SPDT contacts are activated in case of open circuit to
LED, short circuit to LED or low line voltage.
• MICROPROCESSOR-BASED FLASHER (RETRO AC*/
DC/DUAL-RETRO) – Provides programmable flash
character, adjustable intensity and sunswitch on-off
set points engineered for photovoltaic operation
under a broad range of applications.
* When using AC version, an AC/DC converter is required
for flashing and other special features.

RETRO) – Manual switches or handheld radio link
or Tideland’s LEDCOMM from your laptop/PC or
Tideland Signal will factory program to your
chosen settings.
• DUAL LED LIGHT SOURCE (DUAL-RETRO) –
Provides a 6W power range that can be lowered if
required, utilising Tideland’s LEDCOMM program
from your laptop/PC or by optional remote
programmer or by optional manual switches.
