Here at Penn our teams of designers and engineers are continually
developing new methods of rod construction and development, keeping
us ahead of our opposition in the modern rod-building stakes.

Rod technology has come a long way
from the broom handles and split cane
models of the 20th century, through
to the solid glass fi bre and tubular
carbon composite blanks of the 1970s,
80s and 90s. We now have the means
to produce extremely strong, yet light
carbon blanks with the perfect action
required for any style and type of
fi shing that you choose to do. We have
continued to lead the way in rod design
for decades, using the most modern
construction methods matched with
the fi nest grade materials - be they
24 ton to 60 ton carbon, genuine Fuji
guides and reel seats, and Gudebrod
whipping threads. Anglers in the know
use Penn rods because they trust
them. Serious tournament anglers,
pleasure anglers and charter skippers

rods are, and once you’ve fi shed
