<strong>Guide</strong> to Global Review of Offshore Jurisdictions:
NEW PUBLICATION AVAILABLE FROM APPLEBY
There is no doubt that offshore centres will continue to serve the purpose of promoting the efficient deployment
of international capital - provided they comply with internationally accepted standards of transparency and
cooperation with the countries from which they derive much of their business.
To this end, the offshore world has undergone many developments in recent months addressing the issues raised
by organisations such as the G20, and in order to meet the international standards of transparency, as set by the
OECD. In order to help you keep up with the rapidly changing environment, Appleby has published a reference
guide on the subject, entitled; <strong>Guide</strong> to Global Review of Offshore Jurisdictions (the “<strong>Guide</strong>”).
The material presented in the <strong>Guide</strong> is intended to assist the reader to understand what is taking place at intergovernmental
and governmental levels, in the key jurisdictions that deal with the offshore world and in the major
offshore centres themselves. As this is a constantly changing scene, the <strong>Guide</strong> will be regularly updated, ensuring

Within the <strong>Guide</strong>, Appleby has set out a summary of the current proposals or initiatives within these centres,
including the signing of TIEAs, progression from grey to white lists, signing of tax treaties and much more.
The purpose of the <strong>Guide</strong> is to aid its users in keeping informed of the global review of offshore jurisdictions.
