Introduction<br />
UNION offer a wide range of door closers to suit<br />
most applications and projects. A number of<br />
considerations should be taken into account in<br />
order to select the correct unit for a particular<br />
use.<br />
Features & Functions:<br />
<strong>Door</strong> Closer Power Recommended Max <strong>Door</strong> Width Max Test <strong>Door</strong> Mass (kg)<br />
Closing Speed*: Speed at which the door leaf is allowed<br />
to close.<br />
Latch (Snap) Action*: Accelerated closing during the final<br />
few degrees of closing to overcome latch bolt or seal<br />
resistance.<br />
Backcheck : A ‘cushioning’ effect to prevent damage to<br />
door and adjoining structure if door is thrown or blown<br />
open.<br />
Electromagnetic Hold Open : A closer with an integral<br />
electro magnet allows a fire door to be held open for<br />
convenience. The magnet is linked to the fire alarm<br />
system and automatically releases the door when the fire<br />
alarm is activated.<br />
*All UNION door closers have separate latch action and closing speed<br />
