WELCOME TO 

Atacama first began producing award winning 

speaker stands back in 1986, when we 

discovered that by raising speakers off the 

ground and mounting them onto sand filled 

steel columns, it vastly improved their sonic 

performance. 

It was soon realised that there was also major benefits to be gained by 

isolating Hi-fi equipment in order to allow its full acoustic potential to be 

achieved. Ordinary domestic furniture did not offer the qualities required, 

so therefore it was necessary to design dedicated furniture products that 

were aesthetically appealing, whilst at the same time allowing the audio 

equipment it supports to achieve optimum performance. Since those early 

days Atacama has continued to manufacture over 90% of products at our 

UK based factory in Leicestershire. We now offer a comprehensive range 

of speaker stands, Hi-fi, and home cinema equipment racks, developed to 

meet the demanding needs of today’s consumer.

performance, practicality and good looks as well as a unique flexible 

approach to rack design. 

Up to three extra shelf modules, each decoupled on spikes to aid isolation, can be added to a base unit 

to allow the maximum range of set up options. The decoupling spikes are also height adjustable to allow 

precise individual module levelling. Frame colours are black, diamond white, graphite metallic or silver

With each of the first 500 limited edition 

two shelf base modules being hand 

made on new specially commissioned 

blueprinted assembly frames, every first 

edition celebration is personally inspected 

by one of our senior craftsman and serial 

numbered to prove authenticity. 

Available frame colours are Graphite 

Metallic, Silver Metallic, Diamond White or 

exclusively with a Gloss Black frame (a first 

for Equinox) and a choice of Arctic Frost, 

Piano Black glass or our new 9mm A.R.C 

glass as a cost option. Each celebration 

consists of a two shelf base unit and two 

single shelf modules of either 130mm or 

180mm height. Extra shelving is available 

upon request. 

The technical upgrades over the 

standard Equinox Hi-fi are as follows: 

n New aerospace grade aluminium 

top and bottom isolation caps 

incorporating neoprene A.S.I.S.T. 

gasket technology to improve 

dampening. 

n Redesigned top cap interface 

which dramatically reduces 

surface area contact between 

each module by over 90%, 

thus substantially increasing 

the isolation of each module. 

n Top and bottom caps are now 

fastened together (as opposed 

to press fitted) which aids the 

rigidity of each unit and raises 

the weight capacity for each shelf 

from 20kg to 25kg. 

n The glass-to-frame isolation kits 

as fitted to the Equinox XL PRO SE 

are also included with each shelf to 

improve dampening and aid sonic 

characteristics further. 

n Each leg is now filled with closed 

cell polyethylene nomafoam 

to reduce ringing.

Designed for the audio connoisseur, the Equinox XL Pro SE offers the

larger equipment, an extra level of isolation has been added to improve

The multi-award winning Equinox AV range expands with the inclusion of the 

new EQUINOX AVi ACTIVE TC, TS and TL - the first Atacama support range 

to include an infra-red remote control powered swivel facility. Whisper quiet 

and easy to use, this feature allows you to optimise the angle of your TV 30 

degrees either way from the comfort of your armchair so giving you the best 

possible viewing experience. 

Also featured is an all new rear support column offering the 

maximum possible cable management. This column has ample 

space to not only hide all of your interconnect and mains cables, 

it also conceals the 6 way mains block that is supplied with all 

UK specification ACTIVE models. This mains block has been 

designed specifically for Audio Visual equipment and combines 

a mains surge protection and interference rejection system 

designed to protect delicate circuits from sudden power spikes 

while helping to keep your sounds and images free from unwanted 

signals coming through the mains supply. 

To complement our existing Silver Metallic, Graphite Metallic 

and Diamond White frame colour options, our new Satin Black 

anti-reflective paint finish can also be specified as a no cost

The Europa Reference SE Series, designed for those looking to acquire the 

ultimate in style as well as functionality. 

Made using aerospace grade components and 10mm safety glass, Europa is a truly stunning range of unique 

modular specialist equipment racks. Receiving a recent substantial upgrade, Europa now features improved 

cone to cup isolation, decreasing the contact area between each module by over 85%. We have also added 

two A.S.I.S.T. (Atacama Sonic Isolation System Technology) gaskets to each leg to isolate and dampen 

any resonance picked up through the toughened piano black glass shelves. Weight capacity has also been 

improved to 30kg per module.
