Fault Isolation Procedures<br />

Code 14 (SID 18, 19 FMI 2, 4, 5), Invalid Shift Lever Voltage Test, continued<br />

Step C Procedure Condition Action<br />

1. Key off.<br />

2. Disconnect negative battery<br />

cable.<br />

3. Disconnect Transmission ECU<br />

38-way connector.<br />

4. Remove tester from Shift<br />

Lever 8-way connector.<br />

5. Measure resistance<br />

between:<br />

• ECU 38-way<br />

pin 15 and<br />

Shift Lever 8-<br />

way connector pin 1<br />

• ECU 38-way connector<br />

pin 15 and ground<br />

If resistance between pins 15<br />

and 1 is 0 to .3 ohms and<br />

resistance between pin 15<br />

and ground is 10K ohms or<br />

greater<br />

If any of the above<br />

conditions are not met<br />

Go to Step D.<br />

Repair Vehicle Harness between<br />

the Transmission ECU and the<br />

Shift Lever. Go to Step V.<br />
