POSITION TITLE: Provincial Team Assistant Coach

The OSA's Player Development Program identifies young talent throughout the Province with the aid of OSA
Regional Coaches, Club Head Coaches and Club Coaches and provides for high level training and
competition in preparation for national program selection.
Job Description:
To act as Assistant Coach of a Provincial Team incorporating The OSA's player priority principles and
adhering to the player development plan.
To scout and identify player talent throughout Ontario on an ongoing basis.
To participate in The OSA's Special Coaching Sessions.
To assist the Manager of Player Development in other player development initiatives from time to time.
Reporting to: Provincial Head Coach and Manager of Player Development.
Other Requirements:
A minimum OSA Provincial 'B' Licence
Coaching experience at the youth age preferably the applicable age group(s).
Good teaching, leadership, organization and communication skills
Self starter requiring a minimum of supervision
Term:
Under 14 Boys/Under 14 Girls - 8 hours per week - October 2011 - August 1st, 2012 plus additional
scouting and paperwork as required
Under 15 Boys/Under 15 Girls - 8 hours per week - October 2011 – August 1st, 2012 plus additional
scouting and paperwork as required
Under 16 Boys/Under 16 Girls - 8 hours per week - October 2010 - August 1st, 2012 plus additional
scouting and paperwork as required
