Welcome Back PFDC
Welcome to the 2010/2011 dance season. Congratulations on a successful recital!
You all were fabulous! We are off to a great season and have much business to cover.
First, we would like to thank everyone for there help in making ―Wonderland‖ so fantastic.
We have gotten a lot of compliments on this year recital.
Company teachers this year are:
Tara Duffin teaching the girls Technique.
Miss Christina Hampton teaching Ballet IIIA, IV and V and Pointe. Attached is a
copy of her Ballet policies.
Lisa Eardley is back teaching Jazz, production #, Ballet IIIB, IV and Beg Pointe.
Lisa choreographed the ―Tea Party‖ production #, that was performed at recital.
Kacy Irvine will be teaching Tap and Jazz. ―All That Jazz‖ Co. Tap was a parent
favorite at this years recital.
Sara Campbell is teaching Lyrical. Her new Mini Lyrical class is off to a great
start, as well as her other classes.
Kyle Rabot, new this year, teaching Hip Hop. He taught this summer and everyone
loved him. Bring the boys out for his Boys Hip Hop Class. We have a half price special
for boys this year.
We have a new webmaster, Jason Gunning, that will be entering updates to our website.
All info including newsletters can now be viewed. Also Rashell Rodriguez will
continue to be your company email informant. Please check email regularly, some material
may be time sensitive and a response may be needed.

Due dates are very important. When money or paperwork is due we need it on that
date in order to get it to Jeanne and then to whom ever. If you don’t have your items
in on time it holds up the whole process.
We have a close door policy while the teachers are teaching class. Please help us adhere
to this by not entering the class room during, before or after your child’s class. If
you need to speak with a teacher you may leave a note at the front desk and it will be
placed in the teachers box for review. Or you may email Rashell and she will forward it
to the teacher.

Company At tire
We will be ordering Company Warmups for new members. It will include a tank top, zip up hoodie and zebra shorts.
Company warmups are mandatory. Please fill out the attached sheet and turn it into the front desk no later then September12th.
Optional items such as t-shirts, duffle bags and garment bags are also available. Parents are more than
welcome to order any of these items as well.
As for footwear, we will continue to use tan gores for tap. Please see the front desk as soon as possible if you are in
need of shoes. If we don’t have your size, Denise Suazo, will be taking your orders to try and locate your size at another
studio. If she can not locate your size she will assist you with what retail locations carry the shoes.
Lisa has requested a new Jazz Slipper for this year. It offers better foot support and larger pads for better turns. More
info on the slipper will be provided soon.
If you have used shoes that are in good condition, you may bring them into the studio and we can try to trade or sell
them for you. Shoe needs to be labeled with dancers name and size. If you still have the box, that would be great!

Company Rules and Requirements
The most important rule that we follow in the Power Force Dance Company is that each dancer demonstrate a great
attitude of enthusiasm, dedication, and a willingness to perform as a TEAM. If you abide by this rule the rest will follow.
� All Company members are required to take 4 classes (except Pre-Co). Jazz, Tech and Ballet are required for each
dancer. The 4th class is a choice of Tap, Lyrical or Hip Hop.
� The last 2 classes before any performance is MANDATORY.

Carmela Figueroa and Lindsey Wahlberg asked the question and now they are
here to help answer the question.
Carmela and Lindsey will be heading up the fundraising this year. They have already
set up a date with a fundraising coordinator to help with some fundraising
ideas. They welcome any ideas you may have.
How does fundraising work? You will be presented with a fundraising opportunity
and a due date. All money gets turned in at the front desk and sent to
Jeanne. Based on your sales a % will go directly into your child’s personal fundraising
account and may be used throughout the year on certain expenses such as
shoes, costumes and tuition. All other fees need to be approved by Jeanne.
Our first fundraiser will be Vinyl Stickers for our cars. You will be selling for your child and the studio will be selling
them to build up an account. This money will be used for ribbon, props , choreography and what ever we can do to
cut back on Company Cost. The studio does not profit from these fundraisers, so please plan on participating.
� Dancers are not excused from any performance or practice unless a written or email request is approved prior to
the specified date. Parents may not call that day and excuse their child.
� Dancers will be dismissed from Company for excessive tardiness, unexcused absences, not having proper costumes,
or poor attitude. This is at the discretion of the instructors, a warning will be given before dismissal is considered.
� Parents will bring their concerns to the Desk Manager and not the lobby. Concerns may be emailed to
www.jeannesdanceqc@gmail.com. Inappropriate behavior will result in the dismissal of your Company dancer.

Company Rules Continued
� All Company members are required to take 2 of any Summer Programs provided by the studio during the summer.
If they do not meet this requirement you will be asked to pay the monetary equalivant to continue in the
Fall.
� It is important to have supportive parents. Parents may not criticize another dancer, teacher or the studio at any
time.
� A three strike policy will strictly be enforced by all teachers.
� Please note that attendance will be closely observed in all mandatory classes.
Performance Checklist
� Parents: Double Check bags before leaving the house
� Check all costumes and additional parts (belts, hats, gloves, shoes etc.)

� Dancers should come with two pairs of tights. You will not be allowed to perform with flawed
tights.
� Dancers should arrive in full makeup—lipstick, eye shadow and glitter eyeliner
� Always were Company Bling– neck piece (when needed), hair clip and earrings. Make sure
they are secure.
� Make sure names are on every costume piece and shoes.
� Keep location directions on hand
� Keep company phone numbers in dance bags. A list will be supplied to you.
� Remember that we are visitors when performing. Always respect and follow our host’s rules.
� Please make sure your child has everything before leaving a performance.
� Last but not least, Bring your beautiful smiles and have fun!!!
