Our Air Traffic Management System
Delivers a Half Century of Experience
Air traffic control is serious business, which is why
the world looks to Lockheed Martin for air traffic
management (ATM) solutions. From the onset of
automated air traffic control, we have supplied
ATM services to the United States and the United
Kingdom. Today, our leading-edge solutions serve
air travelers worldwide.
Proven Technology
Our SkyLine ® systems package 50 years of air traffic expertise
into a single comprehensive solution — a robust solution
reflecting the adaptability, longevity and fail-safe operation
of Lockheed Martin offerings. SkyLine air traffic management
systems are currently deployed in Taiwan, Kazakhstan, South
Korea, New Zealand, Albania, China and Uzbekistan. The fifth
generation system is:
• Flexible
Modular, scalable design offers you optimum solutions for
towers, terminals and air traffic control centers of any size,
letting you add new radar, sectors or other units as required.
• Adaptable
Thanks to commercial off-the-shelf hardware, SkyLine
systems are easier to maintain, modify and upgrade (you
can choose the platform and operating system you prefer).
They are also easier to integrate with airport, airline and flow
control centers for collaborative decision making.
• Safe and Reliable
SkyLine systems are designed for fail-safe operation. Software
architecture offers multiple paths for data processing and critical
24/7 safety net functions. Meanwhile, simulation and training
options ensure operators are prepared to run the systems.
• Easy to Implement
A SkyLine system can be operational in months, not years.
Our installation in Astana, Kazakhstan, which controls 47
percent of the country’s airspace, went online in just
10 months.
• Easy to Configure
SkyLine’s human-machine interface can be customized to
fit your needs and languages. Easy-to-modify displays offer
multiple windows for lists, communications and alerts for
superior information presentation and faster, more informed
decision making.
