Tool Monitors
CANBERRA's Cronos-4 Cronos-
11 Gamma Object/Tool Monitors are the
latest additions to the industry standard
Argos /GEM-5 /Sirius family of
contamination monitors. Ideal for nuclear
power plants and fuel cycle facilities, the
Cronos-4 and Cronos-11 monitors offer
minimum detectable activities (MDAs)
comparable to much smaller units, as
well as a uniform efficiency response.
Cronos monitors are equipped
with sturdy door hinges and handles to
stand up to rigorous daily use in harsh
environments.
Inspection Camera
Platform
The Mirion Technologies Imaging
Systems Division announces the
release of the enhanced IST-Rees Allrad
Mk2 inspection camera platform. The
advanced capabilities added to the Allrad
Mk2 introduce more flexibility into the
leading visual inspection platform used
in high radiation environments.
The newly designed Allrad Mk2
incorporates several design features which
enhance the performance of this camera
platform and create an ideal solution
for in vessel visual inspection (IVVI)
requirements. Among the enhancements,
a new lighting package consisting of an
on-board LED array with split control
mproves scene contrast. An optional
lighting body is also available, increasing
the viewing capability for cameras
operating in low-light environments.
Finally, the user interface for the camera
control unit (CCU) has been redesigned
to include two LED lighting controls and
revised pan and tilt buttons enhancing
camera control.
Pressure Transmitters
A broad line of nuclear qualified
gauge, differential and absolute pressure
transmitters, designed for use in the
nuclear power generation industry, is
offered by Weed Instrument Company
of Round Rock, Texas.
Models are available for inside
containment, outside containment,
radiation resistance, and seismic as well
as “commercial grade” Balance of Plant
(BOP) applications. The qualifications
are to IEEE-344 (seismic) and IEEE-
323 (environmental) standards. The
transmitters feature a variety of
performance and accident specification
profiles that meet the specific
environmental/qualification requirements
of PWR, BWR and CANDU power
stations.
