Historic uniforms, photos, books, and artifacts<br />

make walking into the Archives <strong>of</strong> Caring in<br />

<strong>Nursing</strong> like taking a look back in time —<br />

and possibly to other countries — and give<br />

scholars access to one-<strong>of</strong>-a-kind information<br />

about the history <strong>of</strong> Caring in <strong>Nursing</strong>.<br />

are dedicated<br />

to preserving<br />

the history<br />

<strong>of</strong> Caring in<br />

nursing, inviting the study <strong>of</strong> Caring, advancing nursing<br />

knowledge, and creating meaning for the practice <strong>of</strong><br />

nursing. This is the only known archives that focuses on<br />

the study <strong>of</strong> caring.<br />

The Archives <strong>of</strong> Caring in <strong>Nursing</strong><br />

support the <strong>Christine</strong> E. <strong>Lynn</strong> <strong>College</strong><br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>Nursing</strong>’s goal <strong>of</strong> <strong>transforming</strong><br />

nursing practice through the study<br />

<strong>of</strong> Caring.<br />

The Archives <strong>of</strong> Caring in <strong>Nursing</strong> support the <strong>Christine</strong><br />

E. <strong>Lynn</strong> <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Nursing</strong>’s goal <strong>of</strong> <strong>transforming</strong> nursing<br />

practice through the study <strong>of</strong> Caring.<br />

The Archives are developed and maintained for the<br />

purpose <strong>of</strong> providing access to primary sources for<br />

scholars and will eventually be open to researchers via the<br />

Center for Caring and through the <strong>College</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Nursing</strong>’s<br />

Web site (www.fau.edu/nursing). To inquire regarding<br />

use <strong>of</strong> archival materials in the Center, please contact the<br />

The Archives team is working diligently to secure the<br />

papers <strong>of</strong> Caring theorists and to collect beautiful artistic<br />

expressions <strong>of</strong> the philosophy <strong>of</strong> <strong>Nursing</strong> as Caring. Those<br />

interested in contributing their work to the Archives <strong>of</strong><br />

Caring in <strong>Nursing</strong> are welcome to contact Dean Anne<br />
