The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHSC-H), Office of Technology Management has two
programs that support Startups and Technology Growth within the TMC: The Biotechnology Commercialization Center and
the Entrepreneur-In-Residence program.
The Biotechnology Commercialization Center (BCC) opened in 2010. The BBC incubates UTHealth and Houston based
companies and helps them bring their products to Market. Currently there are 11 companies in the BCC.
The Entrepreneur-In-Residence program provides a very small stiped for serial entrepreneurs to work with UTHSC-H
technologies. The EIRs work on early business planning processes and analysis, which may lead to CEO positions as the
companies move to market.
