Johnette Rutledge<br />
As a third generation dancer, Johnette knew from a young age she<br />
wanted a life filled with dance. After graduating from the Perpich center<br />
for Arts Education, <strong>and</strong> Summit School of Dance, she began performing<br />
anywhere she could. Johnette began dancing with the tap percussive<br />
company, The Flying Foot Forum, where she enjoyed the opportunity to<br />
perform nationally as well as internationally. She was also found dancing<br />
with the contemporary company Brosseau Danceworks, The MN Opera,<br />
Industrial shows for AT&T, <strong>and</strong> other various shows <strong>and</strong> theaters around<br />
the country.<br />
These days, Johnette enjoys her life as an instructor with Summit Dance<br />
Shoppe in Plymouth MN, sharing her love <strong>and</strong> passion for dance as a<br />
mentor to aspiring dancers. She has a great love for choreography,<br />
receiving top awards for her work at the regional <strong>and</strong> national level. In<br />
2005, she was awarded the Silver Leo's award for dance excellence at the<br />
Jazz Dance World Congress. She also spends her weekends judging for<br />
Various <strong>National</strong> Dance Competitions, as well as teaching workshops <strong>and</strong><br />
choreographing for studios <strong>and</strong> Universities around the country.<br />
