PWN: SIX and Ceramac for new
pre treatment installation Andijk 3
WN Water Supply Company North Hol-
Pland have decided to apply the SIX en
Ceramac technologies for its new pre treatment
installation in Andijk (the Netherlands),
that should be operational in 2013.
PWN Technologies presented the design of
the largest ceramic membrane plant of the
world at the SIWW 2010.
In the decision making process for the
new installation, PWN Water Supply Company
North Holland compared the SIX and
Ceramac technologies to classical pre treatment
technologies. PWN concluded that
the combination of SIX and Ceramac has
many advantages compared to conventional
treatment technologies.
SIX is a new resin treatment technology
for drinking water, which has many advantages
compared to any other ion exchange
process. Compared to any other ion exchange
Peer Kamp keynote speaker at IWA
Leading Edge Conference
Mr. Peer Kamp, CTO of PWN Technologies, was an invited
keynote speaker at the IWA Leading Edge Conference
in Phoenix Arizona, on 2-4 June 2010. In his
speech he discussed the major advancements with
new technology for water treatment., but meanwhile
he tried to explain wat it takes to innovate. This referring
to the theories of American management guru’s.
What it takes to succeed isn’t completely clear yet, but
Mr. Peer Kamp assured that innovation does not fit in
procedures and time schedules. The speech was highly
appreciated.
pended matter and organics, SIX distinguishes
itself by being very compact, having
low resin concentration and inventory, low
salt usage and full control of the adsorption
process without blinding the resin or producing
biomass. SIX can be used with all
commercially available resins.
CeraMac is a well designed and engineered
filtration process based on ceramic
membranes. Several Products common to
the filtration process have been solved with
new solutions based on advanced R&D and
large scale demonstration testing. This has
produced a totally new design with a far
more compact footprint, lower energy consumption,
more reliable operation, lower
maintenance and more productivity at lower
costs than existing membrane systems.
