Please note that per the 1 st of July 2008 it is no longer permitted to smoke in<br />
clubs/pubs/restaurants and venues in the Netherlands. We will however offer you<br />
the limited possibility for a smoking room. (Dressingroom nr 1)<br />
Settlement “<strong>Hall</strong> expenses” is a fixed expense and includes: standard house pa & lights,<br />
standard promotion, standard crew (inc. 2 stagehands, for load in and load out),<br />
standard security (NO BARRIER).<br />
1. Performing non-Dutch artists will be exempted from Dutch artist tax if they<br />
are able to prove that they are a resident of one of the 82 treaty countries<br />
with which the Netherlands has concluded a tax treaty.<br />

2. For non-Dutch artists from countries without a tax treaty, guarantee is liable<br />
to 20% tax.<br />
3. Dutch artists have to apply the regular Dutch income-tax rules. However for<br />
these last two groups € 163 per artist is free of tax for expenses. Also they<br />
can make use of more tax free expenses using the KVB Tax Exemption.<br />
For all of the above: in order to make payments to the artist <strong>Melkweg</strong> promoter<br />
needs a copy of the passport of all performing artists. NO COPIES NO PAYMENT<br />
Timeschedule will be sent by our production department. Please read and confirm.<br />
Due to legal aspects concerning <strong>Melkweg</strong> staff working hours the agreed<br />
timeschedule is not to be exceeded. If set up and soundcheck requires more time<br />
than 4 hours, the hall expenses will go up 135 EURO per hour.<br />
Changes in get-in times and numbers of local crew, one week prior to show<br />
cannot be accepted because of finalizing planning schedules in due time.<br />

Please note that the entrance of the <strong>Lijnbaansgracht</strong> in front of the Police station<br />
is blocked with a pole. Call reception at <strong>Melkweg</strong> (+31(0)205318181) at arrival to<br />
lower the pole or go to the reception to get the key.<br />
No overnight parking possible! If in need, ask our production department for the<br />
available overnight parking facilities in Amsterdam.<br />
It is not allowed to park other than trucks, busses or big vans next to the<br />
<strong>Melkweg</strong>. Private cars and other vehicles have to park elsewhere. The parking<br />
place does not belong to <strong>Melkweg</strong>.<br />
