<strong>MU</strong> <strong>335</strong><br />

<strong>Seminar</strong> for Music Industry Studies (1 unit)<br />

Weekly seminar examining and discussing issues involved with the music and entertainment<br />

industries. Topics may also include making presentations, business practices, and research<br />

methods. May be repeated up to 3 units. 1 hour seminar. Prerequisite: <strong>MU</strong> 104<br />

Required Background or Experience<br />

Prerequisite: <strong>MU</strong> 104 Careers in Music.<br />

III.<br />

Expected Outcomes<br />

Students will:<br />

1. Learn an introduction to research techniques and organizational methods for presentations.<br />

2. Learn how to make effective presentations.<br />

3. Learn how to effectively write summaries of book chapters or articles.<br />

4. Learn common practices of business etiquette.<br />

5. Learn how to create an annotated bibliography.<br />
