It is very hard to write articles when you are all
out of ideas from previous years. When you are
out of ideas you write about writing ideas or
how to plant a plant… I have come up with 5

Braces

This article is dedicated to all of you with
braces. Now all of you with them know they
hurt like getting hit in the face and make it
impossible
to eat in the
first few days. Thing
you’re not supposed to
eat, dots, gum, hard
candy, taffy, no
chewy candy.
And all of you
know that is terrible. Oh and also the fact that
you can be called brace face, metal mouth,
Meta drenchers and tinsel teeth. This is written
by a fellow brace face.
Get to know Wredling!!!!!!

We know many new sixth graders are
unfamiliar with Wredling. But don’t worry you
will soon learn!!!!
1. Wredling has been open since 1995
2. Wredling has approximately 1200
students
3. Wredling has 10 pods, 3 for each
grade and the I-pod
4. There is 1 principal and two vice
principals
5. Wredling has 2 floors
6. There is about 4-6 teachers in each
pod.

BACON SHORTAGE!

Oh my gosh! So, I just found out that there is a
bacon shortage worldwide! Cuz like there is not
enough corn and grain being grown in the U.S!
So like bacon has gone
down by like 1%.
Because corn prices
are so high, pig herds
are smaller so they can
pay for the pigs food that = less BACON!!!!!!

Vanessa Adriatico

• Is the Elgin girls
MMA champion in the junior
division.
• Won first place at
the Sonatina Festival playing
classical music for judges.
• Plays seven instruments including,
piano, guitar, bass guitar, ukulele,
cello, percussion, and the recorder.
• Was originally supposed to go to
Haines and is attending North next
year.
• Plays PS3 and XBOX, but mostly
plays Modern Warfare.
• Is a vegetarian by choice because
she doesn’t believe it is necessary.
• Does yoga every morning. She
overcame depression and an eating
disorder.
• Spends her free time drinking tea
and doing Pilates.
• Enjoys being band with her friends.
The entire choir participants were able to go
see Grease the musical. Many of the choir
people wore their best clothes to go to the
theater and see one of the most famous
musicals. So I decided to interview Briana
Kunstman in Pod 6-2.
She said many of the people recognized many
of the songs and sang along. It was 9:00 to 1:00
on October 4, 2012. She said It was funny, as
most of them said. “Everything and everyone
was so energetic and entertaining and we
didn’t get bored at all.” “It was very musical
and they had the original music from Grease.”
Many
enjoyed
it, and
thought it
was
fun. “ It
helped
me with my
music skills
because
I heard different kinds of music.” It was
interesting to watch…, some of the 6 th Graders
found it a little inappropriate, but it was
funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ART DEPARTMENT
If you have ever walked through the
Exploratory hallway at Wredling you have
probably noticed the framed art pieces. Stop and
pay attention sometime.. The art pieces that
grace the walls of the Explore Wing represent
each team at Wredling in the PERMANENT
ART COLLECTION. Each year more pieces
are added to the collection.
Congratulations to the following students for
their achievement in art: Current Freshmen
receiving recognition: Stephanie Caputo, Cody
Conlan, James O’Grady, and Michael
Rogman. Current 8th grade recognition goes
to: Michal Opalka, Jake Thomas, James Cooper,
Max Retkowski, and Emily
Schildmeyer. Current 7th grade recognition
goes to: Kevin Schreiner, Lilly Gonzalez and
Caty Leal-Lee. These students have achieved
the highest honor in art at Wredling. We thank
them for their contributions to Wredling and for
their fine art!
In addition, Wredling’s Art teacher, Mrs.
Hadamik is grateful for the generous
contributions to the art program made by
Wredlind’s P.T.O. The PTO paid for the
complete framing of all twelve of this year’s
additions to the gallery. Without their
generosity and support, we would not have the
amazing collection of art that not only livens up
the walls in the Explore wing, but also honors
the many achievements, talents and creativity of
our students in the world of art. Thank you,
very generous P.T.O.!
Walk to School Day
On October 5 th over 150
students walked or rode
their bikes to school.
Each walker received a
flying disc donated by
DuPage Central Hospital
and coupons for Dick's Sporting Goods. In
addition over 90 raffle prizes were given
away.
42 - 6th graders that won raffles
24 - 7th graders won raffles
24 - 8th graders won raffles
2 students from the IPod won raffles
The larger raffles were:
2 collapsible/insulated lunch bags,
Wredling Drawstring bags with a baseball
cap, collapsible water bottle and hand
sanitizer, a
Volleyball, and a $20 Dick's Sporting
Goods Gift Certificate.
The grand prize, won by Robbie Kortan,
was 2 tickets to a Wolves game!
