officials including Arizona Senator Kelli Ward,
Arizona State Representative Sonny Borrelli,
Mohave County Supervisors District 1 Gary Watson
and District 4 Jean Bishop, Kingman Mayor Janet
System, traveled from the Phoenix area to be part
of the ceremony. The new $2.5 million 14,400-
provide primary care, mental health and specialty
clinic services. Those services include health
screening, labs, optometry, and various skin tests,
dressing changes, pharmacy consultations and
management of acute and chronic diseases. There
are new services on-site available to veterans
including physical therapy, a women's health clinic
and will also provide a location for staff assigned to
homeless-based primary care and the VA's homeless
program. For more information call 928-692-0080.
Navajo Hopi Honor Riders are more
than 250 riders strong. In March
2002, the Navajo and Hopi nation
received word that one of their own
was “Killed In Action” in Iraq — US
Army Specialist Lori Ann Piestewa.
In May 2002, it was decided by
Bobby Martin (Lori’s cousin), Lon &
Loni Parker and several others that it
might help to pay honor to the
Piestewa family on behalf of their
daughter, Lori, with a motorcycle
run.
