4. Shining lantern:<br />
“And one who invites to Allaah, by His permission, and an illuminating lamp.”<br />
[33:46] From a lantern, many lights can be derived. If they turn off, the original<br />
remains. Every companion received something of the Prophet’s light of guidance.<br />

“And We raised high for you your repute.” [94:4] Ibn Abbas pointed out that<br />
the Prophet (): “was m<strong>en</strong>tioned along with Allaah in the Athaan, Iqaamah 124 ,<br />
and the Tashahhud; on Fridays from pulpits; of the days of Al-Fitr and Al-Adhha,<br />
and the three days follow; the day of Arafaat 125 ; at the stone-throwing sites<br />
during Hajj; on Safa and Marwah 126 ; in the marriage speech; and everywhere<br />
on earth.<br />
If a man worships Allaah but fails to testify that Muhammad () is Allaah’s<br />
Mess<strong>en</strong>ger, his worship counts for nothing. The Prophet’s fame is exalted<br />
among angels in Heav<strong>en</strong> and among m<strong>en</strong> on Earth. The comm<strong>en</strong>ded position<br />
and the noble ranks he is giv<strong>en</strong> will also exalt his fame in the Hereafter.<br />
Some of His Characters<br />
1. Forbearance:<br />
It is said that wh<strong>en</strong> one of the Prophet’s teeth was brok<strong>en</strong> and his head was<br />
fractured on the day of Uhud, his Companions took it hard on themselves and<br />
said: “If you only pray Allaah to punish them.” He said: “I was not s<strong>en</strong>t to be<br />
a cursing man, but rather a promoter and a mercy. Allaah, please guide my<br />
people, for they do not <strong>know</strong>. 127 ”<br />

2. G<strong>en</strong>erosity:
